Ambulatory Care Accreditation From The Joint Commission

Sleep Rite PSG has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for accreditation by demonstrating compliance with The Joint Commission’s national standards for health care quality and safety in ambulatory care organizations, specifically in the area of sleep diagnostic testing and sleep disorder treatment. The accreditation award recognizes Seep Rite PSG’s dedication to continuous compliance with The Joint Commission’s state-of-the-art standards.

Sleep Rite PSG initially underwent a rigorous unannounced on-site survey in May 2007. A team of Joint Commission expert surveyors evaluated Sleep Rite for compliance with standards of care specific to the needs of patients, including infection prevention and control, leadership and medication management. Sleep Rite PSG underwent additional on-site surveys in January 2010, March 2013, and again in February 2016. It has maintained its accreditation since September 2007.

Since 1975, The Joint Commission has developed state-of-the-art standards for outpatient ambulatory care organizations. Nearly 1,900 freestanding ambulatory care organizations maintain Joint Commission accreditation. The Joint Commission’s ambulatory care standards address important functions relating to the care of patients and the management of an ambulatory care organization. The standards are developed in consultation with health care experts, providers, measurement experts and patients. An independent, not-for-profit organization, The Joint Commission is the nation’s oldest and largest standards-setting and accrediting body in health care.

Home Care Accreditation From The Joint Commission

Sleep Rite DME has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for accreditation by demonstrating compliance with The Joint Commission’s national standards for health care quality and safety in home care, and more specifically, in the provision of Positive Air Pressure devices and related supplies. The accreditation award recognizes Sleep Rite DME’s dedication to continuous compliance with The Joint Commission’s state of the art standards.

Sleep Rite DME underwent a rigorous unannounced on-site survey in March 2013 and again in February 2016. A team of Joint Commission expert surveyors evaluated Sleep Rite DME for compliance with standards of care specific to the needs of patients, including infection prevention and control, leadership and medication management. Sleep Rite DME has maintained its accreditation since March 2013.

Established in 1988, The Joint Commission’s Home Care Accreditation Program accredits more than 5,600 organizations. The Joint Commission’s standards address the home care organization’s performance in specific areas, and specify requirements to ensure that patient care and services are provided in a safe manner. The Joint Commission develops its standards in consultation with health care experts, providers and researchers, as well as measurement experts, purchasers and consumers.
