Sleep Studies in Kenner, LA from Sleep Rite

Do you snore?

Has your spouse ever woken you up in a panic because you’d stopped breathing in your sleep?

Are you fatigued and sluggish during the day?

Do you have trouble falling asleep at night?

If you answered yes to any of these questions and you live in southeast Louisiana, it’s time to come see us at Sleep Rite for a sleep study at our location in Kenner, Louisiana.

Lack of sleep or poor sleep is linked with a lot of health issues. Among those – in addition to drowsiness and fatigue – are poor immune system and metabolism performance. When you don’t get enough quality sleep, your immune system is weakened. The stress of fatigue and lack of sleep will also tend to make your body over-produce cortisol, which interferes with your metabolism’s ability to burn fat.

Why Undergo a Sleep Study?

If you’re having trouble getting to sleep or staying asleep, or you know that you snore or have trouble breathing when you’re asleep, you need to visit us for a sleep study.

Well, a sleep study will allow us to diagnose what kind of sleep disorder you’re suffering from and what’s causing it. We’ll then be able to prescribe the appropriate medication or therapy to help you get the rest you need so that you can lead the healthiest, happiest life possible.

Treatments for Sleep Disorders

At Sleep Rite, we don’t just diagnose your problem with a sleep study and send you on your way. We truly care about and are dedicated to getting you the rest you need.

Sometimes, prescribed treatment involves medication which will be administered by your doctor, but other times we’ll recommend different forms of therapy or appliances that can be worn during sleep to help you breathe.

Continuous positive air pressure (CPAP) therapy is very common with people suffering from sleep apnea. For this, you’ll wear a mask over your nose, which is attached to a hose. That hose is attached to the CPAP machine, which has a motor that will blow air into the tube continuously. Basically, it gently forces air into your nose throughout the night. CPAP therapy is particularly good for patients who are suffering from sleep apnea due to their weight.

In addition to CPAP and other forms of treatment, we’ll also work with you on diet and nutrition plans for weight loss. With a sleep study and treatment, you’ll be breathing right, sleeping well, and feeling more active and energetic throughout the day in no time!
